Alex was raised in Boca Raton, Florida where she trained in ballet, jazz, and modern at Boca Ballet Theatre. As a student, she performed alongside many prestigious ballet dancers such as American Ballet Theatre’s Julie Kent and Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Vanessa Lawson. She also has had the opportunity to perform in many full length ballets as well as notable works such as Balanchine’s Serenade and Valse Fantasy. After graduating high school, Alex attended Goucher College in Maryland, where she trained with former New York City Ballet dancer Christopher Fleming. She then left college early and danced in Ballet Theatre of Maryland’s corps de ballet for the 2011-2012 season. Upon completing the season, Alex married an officer in the United States Marine Corps, which brought her to Northern Virginia. Alex is currently a dance instructor at Stafford Dance Center, an independent classical Pilates instructor. Alex joined Gin Dance Company in 2013.
