Meet Julie DeGregorio

Julie is originally from Northern Virginia.. She graduated summa cum laude from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance and the Excellence in Performance Award. At GMU, she had the privilege to perform works by Lar Lubovitch, Ohad Naharin, Mark Morris, David Parsons, Stephen Petronio, Martha Graham, Camille Brown, Susan Shields, and Christopher D’Amboise. She has spent summers dancing with companies such as the Mark Morris Dance Group and received the 2012 Summer Scholarship to study with David Parsons. After graduation, she lived in New York City working with Australian modern dance company, CoreDance Contemporary. She spent two seasons in Houston, TX dancing with Houston METdance, where she performed works by Kate Skarpetowska, Larry Keigwin, Caleb Mitchell, Jess Hendricks, Joshua Peugh, to name a few. Julie is excited to be back in the DC area teaching dance in Herndon.  Julie has been a Gin Dance Company Member since 2016.
