
Kate is based in the Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia area. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Kate began her dance training at the age of four. Kate is an alumna of the University of Kentucky with a BA in Dance (summa cum laude) and a minor in Interdisciplinary Arts (Arts Administration focus). She was awarded the competitive Gaines Fellowship where she conducted research entitled, “The Intersection of Kinesthetic Empathy and Observation in Concert Dance Performance.” While at the University of Kentucky, Kate had the honor to perform in many works, including Theresa Bautista’s Break for Bill T. Jones. Kate has trained at the Lexington Ballet, Louisville Ballet, Beckley Boot Camp, Bates Dance Festival and Mutual Dance Theatre. Kate is a company member of Gin Dance Company, under the direction of Shu-Chen Cuff and recently enjoyed performing a piece by Christian Denice.

She performed for Jane Franklin Dance, under the direction of Jane Franklin. Kate works as a passionate dance educator for children at Go Bananas Dancing LLC, Ballet NOVA Center for Dance and Dance Academy of Virginia. Kate is a Level 2 certified YogaFit instructor and thrives in creating accessible and playful yoga and chair yoga classes for people of all ages and abilities. Outside of dance, Kate enjoys modeling, cooking and outdoor activities. Kate has been with Gin Dance Company since July 2024.
