
Micah McKee is a recent graduate of the B.F.A. program at George Mason University School of Dance, where she studied with world-renown teachers such as Roger Jeffrey, Christina Robson, Susan Shields, and Christopher D’Ambois. During her time at GMU, McKee trained in Lamon, Horton, Bartinieff Fundamentals, Paul Taylor, and more and was selected for the Kevin Campbell Scholarship in 2022.
Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, McKee studied classical ballet, pointe work, variations, and contemporary dance as well as jazz, tap and Horton Technique. McKee has attended both professional and pre-professional dance intensives such as Hubbard Street Intensive in Chicago, Orsolina28 Nunes/Flock Intensive in Italy, Rubberband Dance Winter Intensive in Montreal, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Bates Dance Festival, and Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive. She has also attended professional workshops including Anouk Van Dijk’s Countertechnique with Joy Davis and New Dialect summer workshops in Nashville, TN.
McKee was recently chosen to participate in a selective residency where she learned and performed Robert Battle’s Awakening staged by Elisa Clark. McKee has been a dancer with Gin Dance Company in Washington, DC since 2023.
