Jill is a dance artist and choreographer from the DMV area who recently graduated from Shenandoah University, where she received her BFA in Dance Performance. She trained at the Metropolitan School of the Arts under the direction of Jacqueline Doherty and Sara Hart, focusing heavily on training in the Royal Academy of Dance technique and modern dance. At Shenandoah University, she performed works by Cat Cogliandro, Ehizoje Azeke, Tiffanie Carson, Lindsay Browning, Lisa Startsman, and Katherine Zukheri. She got the opportunity to work as a rehearsal assistant for residencies with
the José Limón Dance Company and the Dana Thai Soon Burgess Dance Company. She also explored her desire to create contemporary ballet works like Foundations during her junior year and her most recent work, Misgiving, which explores anxiety by pushing the line between technique and expression. Jill joined Gin Dance in January, 2026, reuniting with Artistic Director Shu-Chen Cuff, one of her mentors at MSA.
