It was 7:40 a.m. in the beautiful autumn morning on October 20, 2012.  We gathered at National Habor participating American Diabetes Association’s “Step Out – Walk to Stop Diabetes”  Gin Dance Company (GDC) was proud to be the featured performing dance company at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) event.  GDC, through performances and discussions, helped the ADA reach out and educate the audience on different ways to get active (like dance!) to reduce the incidences of obesity and diabetes.  GDC is happy to be helping with such a great cause.  There were 1500 people participating the walk on a beautiful Saturday morning.  Everyone were in a great spirit and having a good time watching GDC’s performance and dancing with our music.  What a perfect day!  Here is the video of that day… http://youtu.be/crAjgCfKaxQ   Enjoy!!

GDC at Barnes & Noble Bookfair Community Outreach!

 

Gin Dance Company (GDC) was performing and having behind the scenes open discussions with the Artists and Artistic Director/Choreographer Shu-Chen Cuff from 11:00-4:00 p.m. on October 20.  We also had story times with children.  We thank you Barnes & Noble for giving us the opportunity to reach out to the community and the generous donation of a portion of all sales.  If you didn’t make it to our Barnes & Noble Bookfair this past weekend… No problem. You can still support GDC by shopping at Barnes & Noble in store or online anywhere in U.S. for the next 4 days. Just give GDC’s bookfair ID # 10855583 to the cashier when you check out at the register.
