GDC Ringing the New Year!

We are proud to be a featured performer at the 2014 Atlas INTERSECTIONS Festival. This year, the festival will spotlight more than 800 established and emerging artists in 125 performances of music, dance, theater and spoken word over three weekends, from Feb. 23 to March 10. GDC will be presenting ‘An Afternoon With Gin’ at 1 pm on Saturday, March 8. It will be a full afternoon production featuring the Company’s newest works including ‘The Teller’ and ‘UnChain‘ along side award nominated pieces ‘The Core’ and ‘Dear Mr. Cooper’. It will be a wonderful afternoon of dance.

It’s Good to be BACK!!

Yesterday was our 1st day back and it was frigid outside (6 degrees, windchill -13)… but we were working hard and sweating inside the studio at BalletNova Center for Dance. It was so good to see everyone! We were working on my new work ‘Face to Face’.

We’ll Miss Alex…

GDC’s Year End Holiday Celebration!

There is so much to celebrate… We celebrate for GDC’s fantastic 2013, we celebrate for Alex and Buddy’s new adventure in California, and most importantly we celebrate our amazing friendship. Back to New World School of the Arts!

On November 30, Saturday, we continued our road trip from St. Petersburg to Miami, FL. We visited my college, New World School of the Arts, 14 years later! The dance division is up on the 8th floor. I miss my dance teachers and I would love to see them, but it was Thanksgiving weekend. The building was so quiet… However, I seem can still hear the music going in each studio and I seem can still see the dancers running in the hall way rushing to get into the dance class and rehearsals. Great memories…

20 Years Later…

Dance is everywhere! 20 years later… We danced together again at Fuzion Dance Artists company class in Sarasota, FL! Xiao-xuan was my classmate at Dance Division of Tsoying High School in Taiwan. After I graduated from high school, I immigrated to U.S. and we haven’t seen each other since. It was so good to see her with her beautiful little baby boy Max. She looks so great! I so admire her after gave birth, she got back in shape in no time and continue performing and choreographing. Truly amazing!
