Wounded Warrior Benefit Evening

This past Sunday (11/2) I did a solo performance ‘Unchain’ among an impressive array of accomplished musicians and singers/vocalists for Wounded Warrior Benefit Evening at The 1st Presbyterian Church in Arlington. My parents also enjoyed the wonderful performance so much! I wanted to thank you Carol for such a beautiful and meaningful evening… She did a great job gathering together world class musicians and vocalists!! Absolutely marvelous performance!!! We’re so grateful to part of it.

‘East Meets West’ was Incredible!

Saturday, 7:30 pm, October 25, 2014, GDC’s ‘East Meets West’ at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. What a night!! Thank you so much to those who came out tonight! We so appreciate you all being there! Truly means so much to all of us at GDC. Feeling so loved. Also, great thanks to our sponsor, Anhnie, our State Farm Agent and her amazing team, Lisa and Catalina. Thank you for your support! Happy Birthday to our most dedicated Executive Director, Gary!!!! From our season planning & bookings, to designing our programs, posters, & website; he’s our mover, driver, and helps feed our hungry dancers; he’s even been known to stand in for the dancers on stage during teching (as pictured); we are so thankful for all he does so we can keep creating and DANCING. We wish him a day as fabulous as he is! (Of course, he’ll be spending the day at a 3 p.m. dress rehearsal and an 8 p.m. performance)

We are so thrilled and excited about GDC’s very own dancer Elizabeth Lucrezio is creating a breathtaking new piece called ‘Just One’ which explores the impact a simple, seemingly insignificant act can have… an act that may not change the world, but may mean the world to Just One. The new work will premier at our ‘East Meets West’ evening on October 25 at the Atlas Performing Arts Center!! Amazing GDC’s 2014 Sweet Tooth Social

June 17, 2014, Tuesday, GDCs 2014 Sweet Tooth Social was finally here! We arrived at Nicecream Factory around 5:15 pm and immediately started to unload and set up. Hanging up Gin Dance Company posters, tying balloons, setting up our sweets table, our Sweet Tooth Social was under way. At 6:30 pm, our guests started to arrive… Dancers were helping people check in and the steam was blowing from the ice cream making. The ice cream flavors of the night were Dark Chocolate, Roasted Pistachio, Lemony Jenny, and Vanilla. Mmmmm!!! So creamy and delicious!!! … and the sweets didn’t end there, we also served amazing cupcakes from Red Velvet and home bake gourmet cookies. We also prepared a fabulous raffle prize including a GDC T-Shirt, GDC Tote Bag, GDC Performance DVD, 2 Tokens Good for Free Ice Cream at the Nicecream Factory, 2 Tickets for GDC’s Upcoming Performance at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, and a Bottle of Award Winning Gin. So many wonderful people, so much laughter, and so much fun!! Soon to be 9:00 pm, time to draw the lucky Winner for our 2014 Sweet Tooth Social raffle prize… and the Winner is… Jeanne Dagradi!!

What an amazing time we had!! Great Thanks to our awesome board directors and to all our guests who came out last night!! … and a Huge Thanks to GDC Board of Director Sandra who is also the owner of Nicecream Factory and the entire Nicecream Factory team for being such incredible hosts for our Sweet Tooth Social!!! Best ice cream EVER!!

From ‘Paquita’ to ‘The Teller’

What a spectacular weekend! Thank you for having us, BalletNova Center for Dance!! This year, BalletNova’s Artistic Director Nancie Woods re-staged the classical ballet, ‘Paquita’ and her original work, ‘ Grande Tarantelle’. Choreographer Constance Walsh premiered her newest work, ‘Sígame’. At Gin Dance Company, we brought our original work excerpts from ‘The Teller’. It was such a fun, eclectic, and energized program. Big congrats to choreographer Constance Walsh, all dancers, and most importantly BalletNova’s Artistic Director Nancie Woods and Executive Director Caroline Warren for such a magnificent production! Bravo, everyone!!
