We are very excited to be performing a section of ‘The Core’ at Fairfax County Dance Coalition Annual Gala performance – “A Celebration of Dance”!! We will be sharing the stage with eleven other wonderful dance groups which have been greatly contributing to the performing arts throughout the DC Metro area. Marshmallow, GDC company dog came into our life on December 16, 2006. She has brought us so much fun and joy. Today, September 29, 2012 is Marshmallow’s 6th Birthday. We wish her a happy happy day. We LOVE you so much, Marshmallow!!
This past Saturday September 22, 2012 we were excited to bring two very different dances to the 2012 Reston Multicultural Festival; ‘The Core’, a piece heavily presented with Eastern philosophy and movement influenced by Choreographer Shu-Chen Cuff’s rich Asian Dance heritage (Shu-Chen is originally from Taiwan); and ‘Simply Bach’, in which Shu-Chen explores the Ballet technique blended with Asian Dance movements.
GDC’s full evening production will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Center Stage in Reston Community Center on October 25th! We are so excited to share with you a beautiful evening with Shu-Chen’s original works ‘Simply Bach’, ‘The Core’, ‘Deja Vu’, and ‘Just Because’ along with guest choreographer Constance Walsh’s ‘City Thoughts’. Also, we are so happy to have Surae Chinn, award winning reporter will lead a post production discussion panel with the Artists.
