GDC Dancers Guest Performing ‘The Nutcracker’!

Three GDC Dancers will be guest performing with the Olney Ballet Theatre (OBT) December 19 through December 24! Kaitlin, Therese, and Jane will be dancing in Mary Day’s, Founder of The Washington Ballet, original ‘The Nutcracker’ and it’s directed by OBT’s Artistic Director Patricia Berrend. There is so much to celebrate… We celebrate for GDC’s fantastic 2013, we celebrate for Alex and Buddy’s new adventure in California, and most importantly we celebrate our amazing friendship. From Taiwan to Miami… It’s a Small World…

That’s right! It wouldn’t be a vacation for me without some time in the dance studio! My high school classmate Xiao-xuan who I haven’t seen for 20 years since we graduated from Tsoying High School is now dancing with Fuzion Dance Artists. Amazingly, the Artistic Director of the company Leymis Bolanos Wilmott and dancer Erin Fletcher were my college classmates at New World School of the Arts – University of Florida whom I also haven’t seen since we graduated from school. People say dance world is so small. No kidding! Who knew that my classmate from Taiwan would one day dance with my friend from college in Miami. Thank you so much for having me in company class and rehearsal, Fuzion Dance Artists (Sarasota, FL)! What a special reunion with classmates from high school and college!! Hope to see you all soon in the near future.
