We need your help raising $7,000 by 8/9… Thus, 7-8-9!
We all recognize the huge value arts and culture play in our society and how they contribute to the quality of our lives. At GDC, we pour our heart and soul into every production we create to impact, inspire, and brighten lives. We have a tremendous passion and love for what we do, but we need your support to help us to keep moving forward and keep arts alive.
It’s been a very busy and exciting 2017 – 2018 season at GDC… We’ve completed some wonderful performances including our season opening production ‘Dance, Champagne, Chocolate, & Gin’at the Fredgren Studio Theater, BalletNova. We presented ‘PHENOMENA’ at the Atlas INTERSECTIONS Festival. We were thrilled to bring several of our original works to Sidney Harman Hall at the Shakespeare Theater as part of the VelocityDC Dance
Festival. We had the privilege of sharing the stage at the Franklin Park Arts Center with the Ashburn Academy of Dance’s The EDGECompany and with BalletNova at their Spring Concert. It was an honor to be commissioned for performances at the ‘Bird in the Hand’celebration and at Reston Town Center’s ‘Thursday Lunch in the Park’ Performing Arts Series. We were especially proud to tour to New York City for the DUMBO Dance Festival at the Gelsey Kirkland Arts Center and to Dixon Place for the SoloDuo Dance Festival.
In addition to these great events and more, we had the absolute pleasure of once again joining VTDance’s ‘What’s Going On’ production – A Special tribute to Marvin Gaye at the Reston CenterStage and a special Benefits Concert to help support the Catholic Charities U.S.A. Hurricane Relief through our Outreach Performance program. This fall we are so excited to share an innovative production ‘The Story of our Lives’ with the audience to open our 2018/19 season on October 6 at Reston’s CenterStage followed by another tour to New York in Mid-October.
The funds raised during our 7-8-9 Campaign will help us cover the cost of our exciting 2018-19 season of productions and keep our artists working and creating to bring excellence in performing arts to the community. You can help us achieve our goal of raising the needed funds with your tax-deductible contribution.
